The 11th Annual 3.5km run/walk and 10km run was an incredible success!
This year the Hog Jog partnered with Stratford/Perth Shelterlink and was held on Wednesday, June 22nd at the Stratford Rotary Complex. To see the media release on the event, please look here, Hog Jog June 23, 2016.
The event was a great success, with 23 teams, over 400 walkers and runners and a grand total of $50,000 raised. This amount came from three sources, the Hog Jog donating $48,000, the Ontario Pork Industry Council donating $1000 and the Rib Eating Contest donating $1000.
This donation will support the Living Options For Youth (LOFY) life skills programming over the next two to three years. The LOFY program supports youth ages 16-24 years old who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. As a part of this support, the youth engage in life skills training.
