Living Options for Youth (Shelter)
The Living Options For Youth (LOFY) program provides youth (aged 16-24) with emergency shelter stays. LOFY has 14 single-occupancy bedrooms, a kitchen and lounge room, a computer room, a men’s and women’s washroom and a onsite-laundry.
Youth staying in the LOFY shelter are required to pay a monthly shelter fee.
LOFY is located on the grounds of the Stratford General Hospital and is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with qualified youth support workers and volunteers.
Emergency Placements
When all of our LOFY rooms are in use, the City of Stratford offers beds to homeless youth in a couple of our area hotels. Shelterlink also place adults in hotels after business hours on behalf of the City of Stratford.
